Methods of Hair Transplantation

Hair Transplant:

Hair transplantation or hair transplantation refers to the transplantation of body hair. Hair transplants are mainly used for hair loss. This can affect both men and women. The intervention is discussed - especially in men - as emotionally charged topic socially. 

Methods of Hair Transplantation:

1       Punch.

2       Strip & Insert Mini / micrograft’s (MMG).

3       Stripping and insertion of follicular units (FUI or FUT).

4       Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).

5       hair robots (hair transplant robots).

6       Hair loss in women.

Punch:

The punching or punching technique is the oldest method. Transplanted hairy skin with 4mm cylinders. The obtained grafts produced very unnatural, tuft-like results.

Strip & Insert Mini / Micrograft (MMG):

This method is the most common Hair Transplant in Karachi. A hairy skin strip is taken from the hair ring and dissected into so-called middle parts of the skin and smaller parts of the skin with hair roots. The procedure is performed sitting in local anesthesia and takes between 2 and 7 hours, with much of the time needed to prepare the grafts.

Stripping and Insertion of Follicular units (FUI or FUT):

This method is the further development of the mini / micrograft technique. Here also a hairy skin strip is taken from the hair ring. However, this is dissected under a high-resolution microscope into the natural bundles of hair (follicular units). These follicular units (FU) are then implanted in the previously prepared areas.

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE):

The follicular unit extraction (FUE), the extraction of follicular units, refers to the removal, the storage and the implantation (insertion) follicular units (FU). The units are natural groups of one to four (in rare cases, five) hair, called grafts. This method is currently one of the most modern ways of hair transplantation.

Hair Robots (Hair Transplant Robot):

Recently, robots for hair transplantation are also used. The advantage of the technology lies in the scar-avoidance as well as the computer-precise removal of the most vital grafts and thus a higher yield of the hair follicles growth rate.

Hair Loss in Women:

Hair loss in women often has genetic causes, with thyroid disease or hormonal changes often being the cause. Not only the hair loss itself, but also thinning hair can be the result. Here, a drug treatment is usually sufficient. Causes of hair loss can be mental, physical or mental stress. The following factors can cause a loss of head hair hormonal changes (menopause), skin diseases, surgery, thyroid problems, pregnancy, extreme stress.
